I ordered this potty chair after seeing the others all had some negative aspects. This seat is perfect! My nearly 2.5 year ancient daughter took to it immediately. It’s not too small (she’s very tall) but not too huge (she has a petite bottom). It cleans up easily, and is not so lightweight or small that it becomes a toy for her. The seat part itself comes off to use on a regular toilet, and has handles for the child to steady him/herself. The bowl insert is large and removes easily for cleaning. There are also handles on the base that overlap with the handles on the seat so you can easily pick it up and go it. The lid closes “just like mommy’s potty” and becomes a wide flat step stool. Perfect product!

I bought this potty strickly on the customer ratings and was not disappointed. It’s very sturdy, enough so that even my husband can use it as a seat when sitting with our daughter. All parts are very simple to clean. I started her training at 15 months, just by keeping her potty in the bathroom and having her sit on it (with her clothes on) every time my husband or I went to the bathroom. She soon got the thought and was sitting on it without a diaper. Because it took so long for her to go, we used the entire unit, but it didn’t take long until we started just carrying around the padded seat for her to use on the adult potty. PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT WAS WORTH IT, EVEN IF WE’D ONLY GOTTEN THE PADDED SEAT. I bought a second seat from another manufacturer to keep in our other bathroom so we wouldn’t have to go up and down stairs to fetch it every time she needed to go, but it isn’t NEARLY as nice. The Primo seat isn’t just a piece of plastic with a hole in the middle. It’s thin and contoured to the shape of a small one’s bottm. It fits snugly on the adult potty. It has rubber pads and plastic pegs on the underside to keep it from slipping when she sits down. I also like that either a boy or girl can use it, without extra parts to assemble or disassemble. There’s a small rise in the front for boys, but it isn’t so high that it gets in the way when the child sits down.
Very sturdy, very simple to use and clean. Can’t say enough about this product.
My Score: 4 / 5
We’re on our 6th potty seat, in search of the perfect potty chair (after 2 kids), and this is nearly perfect. I like that the ‘boy’ part in front is molded in to the seat, unlike another we had with a detatchable spray stopper that was used mostly as a toy, and eventually was lost.
It also seems honestly comfy. I thought it would be a bit more cushiony than it is, but it’s not terrible. It’s mainly just a thick rubbery type plastic for the cover, which detaches from the bottom white piece. …and there in lies the problem. It regularly comes detatched from the white part with the handles, and pee gets in the grooves, and it becomes a pain to clean. It’s also kind of frustrating to place back on, so usually I just lay it on there to save time.
Other positives: It’s stable, doesn’t go much when he’s on it. It’s fantastic as a step stool, and it’s certainly large enough for my tall toddler.
All in all, not terrible, but I wish I could find a potty seat with fewer parts to mess with, since it gets used several times a day.
My Score: 3 / 5
This potty is sturdy, attractive and seems comfortable BUT it has not been fantastic for my son. The urine guard is too low and it seems to have too many parts. Urine regularly gets sprayed across my bathroom floor making a mess or it somehow goes between the removable seat and the potty base and gets under the potty. That makes an even larger mess because then you have to clean the floor, the potty bowl, the seat and the potty base.
My Score: 4 / 5
My twin toddlers like this potty chair & so do I — simple cleaning/dumping, sturdy for sitting & standing.
One minus — my son likes to pull the cushion part off of the seat(while he’s sitting on it). Annoying. Behavior-wise, we’re working on it, but I reckon the manufacturer could have made it a bit more hard to remove.
