For children up to age 12, the set comprises of a rectangular table and two chairs. The table not only provides ample surface space, but it also contains four cubbies in which to stow scissors, crayons, and construction paper. With a 100-pound weight capacity each, the chairs’ 13-inch seat heights enable children to sit down and get up with ease.
Made in Thailand, the table and chairs benefit from durable beech wood construction. A non-toxic cherry end enhances the set’s appearance, while it also thwarts splinters. Cubbies on the small side of the table span 5-3/4 inches wide by 14-1/2 inches deep by 2-1/2 inches high, while the cubbies on the long side measure 11 inches wide by 9 inches deep by 2-1/2 inches high. We got this table as a gift for our son two years ago when he was three. It is a wonderful table!
I’m impressed with how strong and sturdy it is. I frequently sit at the table with my son while we work on projects and feel perfectly comfortable putting my full weight (I’m not a small person) onto the chair. As a matter of fact, we routinely use the chair as a “step-stool” to get things off of his high shelves. The chairs set firmly on the floor — I can’t remember anyone ever falling over in one. It gets used on a regular basis and I haven’t noticed any scratches or scuffs. (We have the Pecan end.) It is also quite attractive with a classic simple design. My son especially likes the small shelf area under the table-top where he stores his markers and drawing paper. I like that it blends nicely with our other Craftsman style furniture and does not look cheap. I place the table together by myself with no problems and two years later have never had to tighten any of the bolts.
I would agree with some of the reviewers that this table is more to scale for a primary-school age child and not so much for a toddler. But personally I like the size. Although his feet didn’t touch the floor while sitting in the chair when he was three, my son was still able to get on and off the chairs by himself and we won’t need to replace it later because it is too small. In my opinion, it is the perfect “in between” size to grow with my son.
One suggestion I do have is to buy some of those felt pads for the bottom of the chair and table legs. We have hardwood floors and the chairs get skidded around quite a bit and scratched the floor before I was able to place pads on them.

This is a very nice alternative to a Pottery Barn look without the price tag. Very sturdy table and chairs rich cherry color. Age appropriate for a 5 year ancient and can see us using for a few years until it’s time to upgrade. Very quick to place together. The only problem I had is the pilot holes are too small when trying to place together. I normally need no help but had to have my husband tighten. Also the cubby holes are a small shallow. I cannot fit a workbook to store without it sticking out, so measure to make sure it is appropriate. Other than that I’m really pleased with it!

Was packaged without a couple seat supports and when I called Lipper International, the woman on the phone could not have been nicer and more helpful. Highly recommended product!

The set is solid and nice, but scratches easily. I was not pleased with the vendor, “Serena’s”. They charged me $50.00 for shipping and were impolite and condescending in their email to me when I inquired about it. I will not advice anyone to buy from them. Find this item somewhere else.
